OLD BUSINESS

1.      Angel Tree—Claire Konz reported that the Life Outreach Center received all the gifts donated to the Angel Tree.  She added that the gifts were received with much gratitude to those who donated to this ministry.  Claire has received additional donations and has volunteered to take these to the center.

2.      Parish DirectoryThe parishioner photos, taken recently by Nancy Soesbee, will be turned over to Vann Turner for printing new inserts to add to the current directory.

3.      E- Calling Circle—Again President Theresa requested someone to take over the e- circle.

4.      Prayer Shawl Ministry—Susy Lucot reports she has about 232 names for shawls requests.  Everyone has been very appreciative.  Four shawls have been sent to West Virginia, and two to Mississippi.  Susy also shared an idea for a knotted prayer blanket, made where each knot is tied by someone and a prayer said for the recipient when the knot is tied. Susy also shared that her husband, Ray, will be undergoing knee replacement surgery, and asked for prayers from the group.  Susy composed an informative, added page to the weekly bulletin, on the prayer shawl ministry.  There was an article in the current East Tennessee Catholic regarding the Prayer Shawl Ministry at Good Shepherd Church.

5.      Pink Ribbon Campaign—President Theresa reported that shopping and “clicking” at this website has funded 7,151, mammograms for women who would otherwise not be able to pay for them.

6.      Coats for the Cold—coat drive continues, with donations of cold weather items.  An informative poster is in the narthex and the donation box is downstairs in the social hall.  A flyer will soon go out with general information for the parish.

7.      “House of Decernment’:-- President Theresa will be attending the next Deanery Meeting in Knoxville. She will take a check in the amount of $200.00, from GSCCW to Fr. Michael Cummins, to help equip the group living center serving those who aspire to the priesthood.  She will find out specifically what types of donations are needed—if linens are needed, a call will go out to Good Shepherd parishioners, who night want to help.

8.      Next CCW Meeting February 3, 2008

9.      CCW Feast Day will be celebrated on 4/27/08. President Theresa suggested a parish breakfast put on by the ladies of CCW.  Members were in agreement and ideas for the menu were discussed.

President Theresa called on Father BOB for any closing comments. Father BOB thanked Theresa Weiner  , for all that she does for the CCW and the parish.  He updated the group on the organization of the downstairs storage areas, and called our attention to the new rolling chair racks and the shelves that were assembled and put up in the downstairs storage room.

The Monthly gift bag drawing was won by Pat Jones.  President Theresa stated that the monthly winners names will be saved for a drawing at the last meeting before the summer months. She has a special framed picture that will be the prize for the drawing winner.
